The role:
This is an opportunity for an experienced Maths Teacher to join a vibrant, challenging and enormously fun teaching community in one of this country’s leading girls' schools.
You will provide an excellent education for all the school’s pupils by teaching Maths with expertise and enthusiasm, offering support to the learning of individual students and contributing to the school’s pastoral system.

HISTORY AND POLITICS TEACHER

The role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified History and Politics Teacher to join our vibrant History and Politics Department from September 2024.
In line with the school’s academic philosophy of ‘Playful Scholarship’, you will deliver stimulating lessons that stretch, challenge, and inspire our students. You will offer individual support where appropriate and will also make key contributions to the school's pastoral care, safeguarding the well-being of our students. For the right candidate, there may be the opportunity to discuss a Middle Leadership position available in the Pastoral Leadership Team, dependent on experience and expertise.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive, and hardworking teacher, with excellent subject knowledge and a passion for History and Politics. While previous experience of teaching History at GCSE and both subjects at A Level may be an advantage, the Department is primarily looking for a colleague that will want to engage with our talented and hard-working students and is therefore happy to interview experienced practitioners or prospective ECTs. Strong academic ability, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills will all be required.
History and Politics at Wimbledon High School:
In the History and Politics Department at Wimbledon High School, we strive to engage our highly able students, by balancing academic rigour with a fun and varied approach to teaching our subjects. At the heart of our teaching is the nurturing of students’ participation in the disciplines of history and politics, engendering a sense of wonder and enjoyment in the adventure of intellectual discovery.
Specialist History Teachers teach across the full age range from Year 7 to Year 13, in three classrooms dedicated to the subject, whilst Politics is taught at A Level and in our bespoke PPE programme to our Year 10 Students. The Department runs a range of super-curricular societies including ‘History Girls’ and ‘Headlines from Sixth’ and is involved in wider initiatives like ‘Advocacy for Girls’. Any prospective team member is welcome to add their own initiatives and or help run any or all of these parts of our provision.

DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY TEACHER

Wimbledon High School seeks to appoint an enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher, to play a key role in our innovative Design Technology & Engineering Department.
You will oversee the delivery of Product Design and/or Textiles lessons, assuming responsibility for the learning outcomes of students from KS3 to KS5. You will plan, prepare and deliver stimulating and engaging lessons, offering support to the learning of individual students to ensure that they are well-equipped to fulfil their potential in the subject. Outside of the classroom, you will contribute to the department's vibrant programme of co-curricular activities, which includes visits, lectures and competitions.
You will possess a teaching qualification to degree level, or the equivalent experience in Product Design or Textiles. You will exhibit an excellent record of classroom teaching with the ability to inspire, motivate and enthuse students, and will have a clear philosophy about how students learn and progress. Computer literacy is essential, and a basic knowledge of CAD/CAM within Design and Technology is desired with a willingness to learn new skills being crucial

The role:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Physics Teacher to join a vibrant, dynamic and enormously fun teaching community in one of the UK’s leading girls’ schools.
At Wimbledon High School, we aim to excite and inspire the girls in this exciting and challenging subject, from explaining phenomena around us - the big ideas at Key Stage 3 - all the way through to the minuscule world of particle physics at A level.

ESTATES ADMINISTRATOR
Required As Soon As Possible

Salary: £26,500 - £28,500 p.a., dependent on experience
The role:
If you are an experienced administrator, this position offers the opportunity to play a key role providing administrative support to a friendly and dynamic Estates team at one of London’s top day schools.
The Estates team at Wimbledon High School is responsible for the security and maintenance of the school’s building and facilities, ensuring the highest standards are always met.
As Administrator for the team, one of your main responsibilities will be managing the Estates helpdesk. This will involve managing workflow and creating worksheets for the team and liaising with contractors as required.
General duties will include ordering supplies for the team, raising purchase orders, taking minutes at meetings, and coordinating resources for school events.
About you
To be considered for this role, you will need strong IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office as well as the ability to manage and maintain records and manage the online helpdesk system.
You will also be able to work as part of a team, manage your time effectively and use your own initiative.
Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills are pivotal to this role.
You will have at least a basic understanding of Health and Safety and a willingness to undertake Health and Safety training.
You will have at least a basic knowledge of fire safety, security, and emergency procedures.
You will have a willingness to undertake relevant training, which will support your progress and development in the role and within the Estates team.
