School Nurse

Contract term: Permanent

Hours: Full/part time position, term time plus 10 days in the holidays

GDST Grade 5 Salary band: £34,842 - £47,706 pa plus benefits

The role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Nurse to play a key role at one of the country’s leading girls’ schools.

As the School Nurse, you will provide a clinically effective, high-quality service of nursing care to pupils and first aid care to all members of the school community, including the Senior School, Junior School and Sixth Form.

You will supervise the medical room and care for unwell, injured or distressed individuals and also work with teachers to identify children with any developmental concerns. You will also work with parents, carers, specialist health professionals and others to develop, implement and monitor in-school care plans for pupils with complex health needs.

The ideal candidate will have current NMC Registration along with an appropriate nursing qualification e.g. RN (child branch) or RSCN or RGN with considerable post-qualification experience (ideally including A&E, walk-in clinic or as a Practice Nurse).

Economics Teacher Part Time

Higher Learning Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Early Years Reception

Required from: 30 August 2018
FTE Salary: GDST Grade 4 Teaching Support Salary Band £26,802 to £36,453 per annum (pro-rated: £21,854 to £29,723)
Hours: 8am to 4.30pm (including breaks) term time plus 5 days in the holidays.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to play a key role at one of the country’s leading girls’ schools.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in the EYFS, you will provide support to two class teachers as required and play a complementary role, delivering learning to small groups, so that the teachers are able to concentrate exclusively on those areas of work where teaching expertise is required for larger groups.

HLTAs at Wimbledon High School are actively involved in the planning and preparation of lessons with teachers, participating in the planning cycle, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans where appropriate.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable evidence in supporting children in a learning environment and a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification. The ability to undertake observations of individual children and complete records under the direction of the teacher is desirable as is experience of early years.

Head of English

Required from: January 2019 or earlier

The role:

The English department at Wimbledon High School is a highly successful, vibrant and dynamic element of the school. The lessons are underpinned by academic rigour that challenge and inspire the pupils to develop a scholarly approach to English without losing sight of the fun and joy of the subject.
