The Entry Process
All candidates need to register first. The registration fee is £110 (or £175 for overseas candidates), payable online and non-refundable. Please note that you will be required to fill in the form in one go, as the system will not allow you to save it online.
Once you are registered as a candidate, we will request from your current school the following: a reference, your most recent report, your Year 10 exam results and predicted GCSE grades. You will be notified whether you will be invited to sit our 16+ entrance exam and come in for interview.
Candidates invited to the school will be tested on Verbal Reasoning and will be asked to bring a Personal Statement with them. They will then be asked to sit a 45 minute written paper in each of the subjects they wish to study at A Level (minimum 3 subjects, maximum 4 subjects). Candidates will also be interviewed by the Head and/ or the Director of Sixth Form.
We require A or A* grades (or grades 7, 8 or 9) at GCSE (or equivalent) for the subjects to be studied at A Level; entrants are expected to have a minimum of eight GCSEs at A*, A or B grades (or grades 6 - 9) and offers will be made conditional on achieving these grades.
