Some students know early on in their school life where they are heading and what they have to do to get there. For many others, the choice of university courses, A levels and even GCSE subjects can seem overwhelming. At WHS, we begin to give careers advice, and open up discussion about the world of work early on, and add in more detail as students move up towards GCSEs and 6th Form.

Careers fairs, speaker programmes and work experience opportunities bring students into contact with representatives from different professions. We also make the most of the GDST Alumnae Network of 45,000 GDST alumnae, which organises events for 6th Formers and recent leavers, and can help arrange internships.
