Extra-Curricular Activities

We offer a range of clubs and societies for girls to join, with ever more options available as girls move up through the school.

Chess is a very popular pastime at WHS and our pupils have had tremendous success in it at both a regional and national level. Gym, dance and swimming are also favoured, as are drama and music. Both of these are very much part of the curriculum, and girls put on fantastic shows - the Snow Queen and Seussical are two recent productions. A large proportion of girls have private tuition in school for musical instruments. Many play in ensembles, play in our orchestra or sing in our Junior choir.
