Years 10 and 11.

All subjects taught in Key Stage 3 are offered at GCSE with the addition of Ancient Greek. During the course of Year 9 the girls will make their choices of subjects that they wish to study for the next two years.

Trust policy requires that each girl studies at least one modern foreign language and we advise they also choose at least one humanity and one creative / technological subject.

Girls choose a total of four or five optional subjects. In order to help and support in the choice process, each girl is given the Key Stage 4 Choices Booklet, which contains all the necessary information about the subjects on offer and has a one-to-one interview with a member of staff to discuss her choice.

At this time we also hold two parents' evenings: one to explain the choice procedures and the other for parents to discuss progress in each of their daughter's subjects.
