Cairo came to Wimbledon on Tuesday as we saw an array of colourful Egyptian costumes fill the school...
The girls in Year 2 learnt how to perform rhythms on a Duff (an Egyptian drum) and a Riq (an Egyptian tambourine). They also became accomplished in the art of Ancient Egyptian dance whereby, one class learnt a wedding dance and the other a folk dance. In the afternoon the girls displayed their newly acquired skills to Year 3 who were a captive audience. A great time was had by all.
