Sixth Form Bake Off goes to the Movies

The (oven) gloves were off... on Wednesday 11th October, Sixth Form tutor groups battled it out in the annual 'Bake Off', creating 11 mouth-watering and beautifully crafted cakes around a movie theme...

We saw an array of magnificent cakes, all of which oozed flair and creativity. These included: the house from Up, complete with a dozen real balloons, a Shaun the Sheep meets Shaun of the Dead zombie-inspired piece, a brilliant Jaws-inspired shark cake and the infamous 'Burn Book' from Mean Girls.

Winners for each category as follows:

Overall Winner: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (tutor group RBG)

Best appearance: Tangled (tutor group NMH)

Best taste: Monsters Inc. (tutor group EMA)

All cakes were devoured shortly after the judging at lunchtime!
