To infinity...and beyond!

Year 1 were visited by a very special guest on Tuesday 17th October...

Astronaut, Commander Holt, made a flying appearance to the Junior School where he spoke to Year 1 all about his experiences in Space. Not only did he discuss the challenges that astronauts face in simple every day chores such as washing, making food and going to the toilet, but he trained the girls for their own space mission! They had to work in teams, each taking it in turns to be blindfolded and listen very carefully to one another's instructions to complete the assault course of hoops (aka craters!) Trusting and communicating with their 'fellow astronauts' on this exciting mission was very important - the girls did brilliantly and thank you to Commander Holt for an enlightening day! Next stop, NASA?
