Striding Out

On Thursday afternoon, staff and family came together to celebrate the wonderful achievement of our Year 13 Leavers at their Striding Out ceremony.

The girls received a Valedictory Report, with contributions from their teachers, form tutor, Mrs Lunnon and Dr Parsons. The report is a wonderful way of capturing and recording the impact each girl has made here at Wimbledon High. In turn, we saw them go up onto stage to receive it whilst a statement was read by their tutor. The ceremony ended with a touching musical item from the Year 12 Music class and a final farewell speech from Head, Mrs Lunnon.

Here you are, on the edge of change, exams done, party dress hanging in the wardrobe for tonight, school almost entirely behind you and the vast exciting expanse of possibility ahead of you...

In the evening, our Year 13 Leavers celebrated in style at their much anticipated Garden Party which took place in the Nursery Road marquee. The evening was filled with mingling, nostalgia and dancing and saw the girls really celebrate the lifelong friendships and memories that have been made.
