Wimbledon High School is delighted to be hosting the GSA Girls Go Gold event on Thursday 28 September 2017.
Students from Girls Schools' Association member schools across the country will be gathering in Wimbledon to for an inspiring day of elite sport, looking at what it takes to be a high performing athlete in today’s world.
Some of the very best in their field will be giving their time to train students and there will be a coaching for the coaches programme during the day as well, so that visiting PE teachers can participate too.
We are delighted to announce that Olympian Helen Glover will be giving our Key Note Speech at the start of the day.
In addition, Frank Lampard will be coaching a football session and three Olympians will coach in Hockey, Swimming and Rowing. Former England batsman Graham Thorpe will join the conference for a Question and Answer session; cricket is one of the fastest growing sports for girls and young women.

Olympic Hockey Gold Medallist Crista Cullen
Rio 2016 Olympic Gold Medallist, London 2012 Olympic Bronze Medallist
Widely recognised as one of the best hockey defenders in the world, Christa Cullen will be coaching hockey at Girls Go Gold.
World Swimming Champion Karen Pickering
Four times World Champion and the first British female swimmer to win a World Championship title when she took gold in the 200m freestyle in 1993.
Olympic Rowing Silver Medallist Gillian Lindsay
Sydney 2000 Olympic Silver Medallist, World Rowing Championships Gold & Silver Medallist
In the winning crew for the 2015/16 Head of the Charles Regatta. Gillian Lindsay will be coaching rowing at Girls Go Gold.
Director of Netball for Surrey Storm Tania Hoffman
Tania Hoffman is Director of Netball for the two-time Superleague champions.
