    If you enjoy working with children and have experience of working in a childcare setting, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role at Wimbledon High School, providing support at lunchtime and after school.

    In this role, you will be required to provide support in maintaining a safe and happy lunchtime experience for all pupils in the dining hall and the playground, working from 11.15am – 13.15 pm, Mondays to Fridays, during term time only.

    After school, from 3pm – 6pm, on Mondays to Thursdays, you will assist in providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment, participating in play and learning opportunities with pupils at our after-school club.

    The ideal candidate will be able to cover both roles, however, we also welcome applications from candidates who can only cover one role, either at lunchtime or after school. Please specify your preference in your application.

    The ideal candidate will have relevant experience of working with children and will need the ability to provide and facilitate safe and creative play opportunities and will have the ability to empathise with the needs of children.

    If you offer strong accounting and financial experience and management skills, this position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the financial management of one of London’s top day schools.
    As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the provision and maintenance of Wimbledon High School’s financial and accounting services. This will include the preparation and management of budgets, monthly management reporting, financial management of outsourced contracts, managing the school’s financial administration and overseeing the management of the school’s purchase ordering and payments systems.
    You will also line manage the Finance Officer and Finance Assistant, ensuring they have clear expectations of their roles, and that high performance standards are achieved and maintained.
    To be considered for this role you will need a suitable accountancy/financial qualification, such as ACA, CIMA, AAT or equivalent, with a good understanding of accounting software and experience of financial analysis and reporting. You will also need the ability to operate, monitor and maintain systems for effective budget management as well as the ability to analyse and present statistical information with confidence.

    The role

     

    This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, experienced and ambitious PE teacher to play a key role providing inspirational leadership and direction for PE, Games and all aspects of Sport provision within the Junior School at Wimbledon High School.

    As Head of Junior School PE, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of policies for the teaching of PE and Games throughout the Junior School to optimise pupil progress and the delivery of all aspects of PE and Games.

    As the lead practitioner for PE within the Junior School, you will lead by example, consult and advise colleagues to establish creative, responsive and effective approaches to the teaching of PE and Games.

    Additionally, you will oversee the Junior School’s co-curricular programme and varied schedule of sporting fixtures, tournaments and festivals. You will lead risk assessments, logistical requirements, communications and scheduling, ensuring a balanced programme of events that supports inclusion and opportunities for all.

     

    About you

     

    We are looking for a well-qualified teacher, with strong subject knowledge and excellent teaching skills across all aspects of the PE and Games curricula.

    Along with your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will need previous experience of leading a team and managing sports/PE events. An excellent working knowledge and understanding of health and safety best practice is also essential.

     

    PE in the Junior School

     

    Our Junior School has access to outstanding facilities for our pupils to enjoy and excel in sport, including an onsite 25m swimming pool, a large sports hall and access to playing fields.

    As part of the Girls’ Day School Trust and Independent Association of Prep Schools, we participate in nationwide competitions that give our students the chance to compete in a competitive setting.
