    The role

    In this role you will play a vital part in the security, general maintenance, and upkeep of our buildings. Joining a friendly, dynamic, and supportive Estates team, working in a fast-paced environment. If you have a keen interest in general DIY and repairs, this is a great opportunity to develop and enhance your skills and experience. You will assist the Assistant Estates Manager & Estates Manager in the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the school.
    About you
    You will be able to complete general manual handling tasks including lifting, moving, and carrying of deliveries, furniture, and other loads.
    You will also have an interest in general maintenance and repairs (painting, carpentry, plumbing etc.)
    You will have some understanding of relevant Health and Safety legislation.
    You will have knowledge of fire safety, security, and emergency procedures.
    You will have a willingness to undertake relevant training, which will support your progress and development in the role and within the Estates team.

    The role

    If you are an experienced administrator, this position offers the opportunity to play a key role providing administrative support to a friendly and dynamic Estates team at one of London’s top day schools.

    The Estates team at Wimbledon High School is responsible for the security and maintenance of the school’s building and facilities, ensuring the highest standards are always met.

    As Administrator for the team, one of your main responsibilities will be managing the Estates helpdesk. This will involve managing workflow and creating worksheets for the team and liaising with contractors as required.

    General duties will include ordering supplies for the team, raising purchase orders, taking minutes at meetings, and coordinating resources for school events.

    About you

    To be considered for this role, you will need strong IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office as well as the ability to manage and maintain records and manage the online helpdesk system.

    You will also be able to work as part of a team, manage your time effectively and use your own initiative.

    Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills are pivotal to this role.

    You will have at least a basic understanding of Health and Safety and a willingness to undertake Health and Safety training.

    You will have at least a basic knowledge of fire safety, security, and emergency procedures.

    You will have a willingness to undertake relevant training, which will support your progress and development in the role and within the Estates team.

    The role

    Wimbledon High School is looking for a dynamic and innovative teacher to provide inspirational leadership to our Art Department.

    As Head of Art and Design, you will contribute to the strategic direction and development of the department, preparing a plan that will ensure the department continues to be innovative, creative, successful and ambitious, inspiring a love of the subject in our students.

    You will also lead and manage department staff, promoting excellence in teaching and learning that will help students to develop their potential within Art and Design. This role will be key to ensuring that we deliver a high quality academic and creative experience to all students within a safe, well-supported, well-resourced and well-looked after environment.

    You will be a positive and enthusiastic teacher, with excellent subject knowledge in Art and Design (especially in Fine Art). You will possess previous experience of teaching Art from KS3-KS5, including GCSE and A Level. Strong leadership, self-management and decision-making skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively with others.

    The Art and Design Department

    Our thriving Art and Design Department has an excellent reputation for delivering a progressively challenging, stimulating and fun art education throughout the school. The department consists of three full-time teachers, one part-time teacher and a technician, as well as a fixed-term PT Digital Assistant.

    We occupy the top floor of the STEAM Tower, which comprises three studios, printmaking facilities, a departmental office and resources rooms, as well as a wonderful central library/gallery area.

    We are looking for a well-qualified, enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join us as a Cover Supervisor at Wimbledon High School.

    As a Cover Supervisor, you will provide cover for senior school lessons in the absence of a teacher, delivering pre-planned work left by the teacher. You will maintain a high standard of discipline through the close monitoring of student behaviour, creating an environment in which pupils feel safe, secure and confident.

    In addition to your classroom responsibilities, you will also undertake a range of administrative duties to support cover supervision. This will involve preparing the daily cover rota, registering staff absences and coordinating room bookings. You will also provide support to the Exams Officer when necessary.

    You will need first class organisational, administrative and communication skills, along with the ability to manage a class. You will also possess excellent ICT skills and will be able to establish and maintain administrative systems and records. Previous experience in an administrative or educational setting is desirable but not essential.

    The role

    Wimbledon High School is looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and efficient administrator to support the smooth running of our senior library.

    As a Library and Administrative Assistant, you will assist the School Librarian in creating and maintaining a welcoming and inspiring space for students and colleagues to study independently.

    Drawing on your love of reading, you will supervise students and help them choose and find books, whilst also dealing with enquiries from staff and students. You will also assist with book displays, stocktaking and general tidiness.

    Alongside your duties in the library, you will undertake general administrative tasks that support the academic life of the school.

    About you

    You will be an approachable and personable individual, who is able to engage and inspire others and can talk authoritatively about children’s and young adult literature.

    You will need strong communication, organisational and research skills, and will be able to work collaboratively with a range of staff and students aged from 11 to 18. ICT skills and proficiency in MS Office will also be essential, along with a willingness to learn our library management software.

    Wimbledon High School is looking for an experienced Senior Rowing Coach to play a key role within our ambitious rowing programme.

    You will support the Head of Rowing with the overall running of the boat club and will provide inspirational rowing coaching to our Seniors (J16s and J18s). You will set squad training programmes, organise school holiday rowing and training camps, and assist with the management of club equipment and the boat fleet.

    We are looking for a strong and inspirational leader with previous experience of coaching rowing within a school. You will also need a clean driving licence. Having a minibus certification and experience of trailer towing boats is desirable, as you will be assisting with transport to the boat club and competition venues. Coaching qualifications and coaching experience on the Tideway is desirable, but not essential.
