Recognised for sustainable travel
The school currently holds Gold accreditation from Transport for London through the TfL Travel for Life programme.
The programme supports schools in encouraging safer and more sustainable travel habits among young people. Achieving Gold status means the school has completed an extensive range of activities promoting active travel and has significantly reduced reliance on car journeys for the school run.
Every year for the last six years, students, parents and staff have participated in the Big Walk & Wheel challenge where all are encouraged to step, scoot or cycle their way to school.

We Are One
The GDST One sustainability strategy was founded on the idea that as a family of schools we are stronger together and can act as a united community to create a more sustainable world. In June 2023, Year 6 students from Wimbledon High and across the GDST came together at Wimbledon High School to engage with nature and shared their thoughts and hopes for a greener future.
