Joining Wimbledon High School
We are delighted that you are interested in your daughter joining Wimbledon High School.
Admissions Process
The main entry points are the start of Junior School (Reception, age 4), Senior School (Year 7, age 11) and Sixth Form (Year 12, age 16) although as families may relocate out of London or the UK for work reasons, spaces do sometimes become available in other years. We call these Occasional Vacancies.
Open Events
We hold open events throughout the year during our Autumn, Spring and Summer Terms. Attending one is a requirement for entry into our Junior School ballot and we strongly encourage all families of any age daughter to visit the school before they make an application. Please visit our Open Day page for more information and booking.
Junior Admissions
The main entry point to our Junior School is at 4 years old into Reception. Places for Reception are allocated by Ballot.
Senior Admissions
We open registrations from the start of the summer term of Year 5, the year before entry. Assessments are taken in Year 6 – autumn and spring – ahead of successful candidates joining our school the following September into Year 7.
Sixth Form Admissions
Admission to our Sixth Form is at age 16 years into Year 12. We are an A-level school, with students taking their public examinations in three (and sometimes four) subjects at the end of Year 13.
Tier 4 Visa Sponsorship
Please note that we are able to sponsor a small number of students to join Wimbledon High School on a Tier 4 Student VISA in the Sixth Form only. We require these students to be living in London with a parent; we are not able to accept applications from students who will be living with other relatives or hosted/home-stay families.
