Senior School Occasional Vacancies
Whilst 11+ is our main entry point, for entry into Year 7, occasional vacancies may sometimes arise. Admissions into these year groups are wholly dependent upon a space becoming available – for instance if a family moves out of the area and a student leaves the school.
We do not admit new students into Year 11 (GCSE year) or Year 13 (A Level year).
- Our entrance assessment for Occasional Vacancies into Year 8, Year 9 or Year 10 consist of Verbal Reasoning, Maths and English, and for Year 10, a subject paper. Each paper is set at an age appropriate level for the year of entry.
- Candidates are then shortlisted for interview based on their performance in the assessments and subject to references from their current school. Successful candidates will then be offered places or placed on a waiting list for when places become available.
Assessments would normally take place in the later part of the spring term.
Please complete our Occasional Vacancy Enquiry form to register your interest.
Student Visa
Please note that we are able to sponsor a small number of students to join Wimbledon High School on a student visa (formerly known as Tier 4 visa) in the Sixth Form only. We require these students to be living in London with a parent; we are not able to accept applications from students who will be living with other relatives or hosted/home-stay families.
