Sixth Form Admissions
Admission to our Sixth Form is at age 16 years into Year 12. We are an A Level school, with students taking their public examinations in three (and sometimes four) subjects at the end of Year 13.
Based on their predicted GCSE grades and results of our academic assessment candidates are shortlisted and invited to interview by senior members of the Sixth Form team throughout November.
Those wishing to study Art A Level will be assessed by interview and will be asked to provide a portfolio of their GCSE work and sketchbooks as part of that assessment.
Our expected entry standard is high and we require entrants to achieve Grades 8 or 9 (A*/A) at GCSE (or equivalent) for the subjects to be studied at A Level; entrants are expected to have a minimum of eight GCSEs (or equivalent overseas qualifications) at Grade 6-9 (A*, A or B grades) (maximum two Grade 6’s) and offers will be made conditional on achieving these grades. Please note; for overseas applicants at Sixth Form entry, we require an average English Language (IELTS) score of 6.8 or above and a grade 6-9 in English Language GCSE or equivalent English qualification.
The application fee is £250, inclusive of VAT (or £350, inclusive of VAT, for overseas candidates), payable online and non-refundable.
