100% grade 9-8 in Music | 89% grade 9-8 in Drama | 88% grade 9-8 in Art
As Fionnuala Kennedy, Head of Wimbledon High School, said:
“We’re absolutely delighted to be celebrating our record-breaking Class of 2028 this morning, who have achieved the highest number of 9s on any GCSE results day in the school’s history. With 53% of all grades being marked as the top score of 9, they can be enormously proud of their achievements as well as of the resilience they have shown during the marathon that is the GCSE exam season. What’s more, this is a year group who have rich and prodigious talents outside of their academic endeavours, with GB hockey players, National Youth Choir and Orchestra musicians, champion debaters, world-class ballerinas and county cricketers amongst their midst. As they venture into the joys of Sixth Form life we could not be more excited to witness what this extraordinary group of young people do next. Congratulations to them all.”
