We are delighted to be holding our Folio Celebration Evening 2024 on Tuesday 12 November from 6 to 7pm in the Rutherford. Folio, now in its 3rd year, is our anthology of writing by Wimbledon High students, as a way of inspiring excellence in the written word.
We are delighted that WHS alumna, acclaimed actor and playwright Gaia Mondadori (Class of 2019) will be our guest speaker this year.
Gaia comes straight from a run of her new solo show Centre of the Universe which debuted in London in October. Gaia has also starred as Pavetta in the hugely popular Netflix series The Witcher, and took her own show Fake It Till You Make It to the Edinburgh Fringe.
We look forward to hearing her words of inspiration and advice and to enjoying readings from the anthology by the students.
Please book your free ticket here – it is always a wonderful evening!
And while we are talking all things creative, we celebrated National Poetry Day with cross-curricular poems in Maths, notably Year 7, on the theme of ‘counting’. Here are the winning entries from Minne G, Josie B, Amelia C C and Poppy O:
