Two gold medals for England

Mia Parladorio (Y13) becomes the first WHS student to receive an international rowing vest by representing England at the ‘Home International Regatta’.

Having been successful in the yearlong GB U19 selection process, Mia was chosen to represent England this weekend, at the prestigious Olympic venue Dorney Lake in Eton, Windsor.

Mia competed in three tough races, the coxed four, the highly anticipated 2k race in an eight and the exhilarating 500 metre sprint again in the eight’s category.

Mia and fellow England teammates came second in the coxed four and won two prestigious golds for the 2k and 500m. Valuably contributing to England’s win of the Junior Woman’s trophy.

Congratulations Mia… we are all very proud of you!
