Junior School ski trip to Les Menuires

Year 5 and 6 pupils had a wonderful ski trip experience in Les Menuires during the Easter break.

The trip to Les Menuires began with great excitement as Y5 and 6 girls arrived to bright sunshine and stunning snowy mountains. As the first ski trip for WHJS since Covid, it felt even more special. After settling in, exploring the resort and getting fitted for ski boots, everyone went to bed eager for their first day on the slopes, with many girls clipped into skis for the first time.

As the week went on, a big milestone was reached when every group successfully skied a blue run. Time away from the slopes included souvenir shopping and sledging and fun evening activities from quizzes to fashion shows.  A highlight of the trip was the thrilling luge ride, racing down with incredible mountain views.

As the trip came to a close, the girls completed their final runs with confidence and proudly received certificates to celebrate how far they had come. There were cheers, a guard of honour, and time to reflect on an unforgettable experience.
