Junior Science Professional Development Afternoon

On Monday 11th November, nine Primary Science Teaching Trust Fellows from across London met at Wimbledon High School Juniors for an event to network and share good practice with one another. All the attendees, including Mrs Farrer, Head of Junior Science, are previous winner of the Primary Science Teacher of the Year award.

At the end of the afternoon, primary science teachers from local schools were invited to join for a primary science professional development session, led by the different Fellows. The sessions were:

  • Science in the Early Years classroom
  • Using Explorify to teach materials
  • Science assessment
  • Outdoor learning
  • Developing scientific enquiry skills

All sessions were very well evaluated and we had 67 teachers attend in total, which we were delighted about!
