Rowing 45km in the Ergathon

The annual WHS Ergathon took place on Sunday 16 November

On Sunday, our annual Ergathon brought together an incredible display of teamwork and determination. We had 115 girls competing across five teams rowing 45km in just three hours. Adding to the excitement was a spirited parent team, eager to experience what it’s like to be on an erg and contributing to the lively atmosphere. After a fiercely contested session, Team Madame Cholet claimed victory, edging out Tobermory by a mere 50 meters.

But the Ergathon is so much more than a race. It was inspiring to see athletes from across the Boat Club working together, showing unwavering support, encouragement, and determination.

The event also plays a vital role in fundraising, helping us purchase equipment that gives our rowers the confidence and ability to perform competitively at a national level.

We’re delighted to share that we raised just under £5,000! A huge thank you to everyone who participated and supported this fantastic event. Your contribution makes a real difference.
