‘Women’s Head of the River Race (WeHorr) took place on Saturday 8 March and it is one of the biggest events in the world for women’s rowing with over 320 eights competing. It is held on the Tideway of the River Thames.
We had two eights racing down the WeHorr track this year. It is a long head race (4 ¼ miles or 6.8km) with changing conditions of stream, wind and the sun. Our girls raced hard, both boats over taking a few crews in their runs. First eight coming in 16th, second eight coming in 21st in the junior category!’
