WHS alumnae premier at Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2025

We are delighted to share the news that two Wimbledon High alumnae will be bringing their own plays to the Edinburgh Festival as part of the Fringe programme this year:

Gabriela Godinho-Moxon (Class of 2012)

Gabriela Godinho-Moxon (Class of 2012) with Never Over Theatre is premiering her play Everything and Nothing which is a brand-new play about love at first sight and the power of human connection. It is an intimate romance drama set across three cities, across two perspectives.  Gabriela explains, “At its core, it’s about human connection and the impact of meeting someone that leaves an unexpected footprint on your heart. These stories are the connective tissues between our relationships and the milestones of our lives.”

Everything and Nothing is on at Paradise in the Vault (The Vault) (Venue 29) from  11-15 August 2025.

Gaia Mondadori (Class of 2019)

Gaia Mondadori (Class of 2019) will be performing her one-woman play Centre of the Universe at Summerhall from 31 July- 25 August:

‘This has never been done before. No person, no woman, no young woman has ever admitted to being the Centre of the Universe.’ Fifteen year-old Mary has no discernible talent but she can’t ignore the glaring signs that she is destined for greatness. When a TikTok influencer comes to her school, she embarks on a journey. By the age of twenty-three, she will make it to the top. No matter the cost. Centre of the Universe is a laugh-out-loud search for meaning in a success-obsessed society.”

Folio 2024

In November, Gaia joined us for the Folio 2024 celebration evening and kindly shared her insights as a playwright and actor and watched our young student writers perform their own work.
