Y5 Visit the Science Museum

As part of the Humanities topic into different environments and polar regions, Year 5 took a trip to Antarctica, via the Science Museum. They fully immersed in the Antarctic environment, evading hungry seals along with some penguins and swimming with whales under the ice, as part of the 3D Imax experience. The girls were enthralled by the colourful life on the ocean floor, the amazing icefish and the way the animals interact with each other within the ecosystem.

After an insightful walk through some of the galleries, Year 5 also enjoyed the opportunity to learn through the interactive stations of the Wonderlab. They whizzed down the slides testing the friction of different surfaces, explored pulley systems and played scientific games throughout.
