Houses

Wimbledon High has a vibrant House system, seeing students participate in activities throughout their time at school for either Hastings, Meredith, Arnold or Scott.

The House system is a key part of school life, fostering a strong sense of belonging and building friendships and connections between year groups.

In September, each House selects a charity to support that year. The school holds regular charity initiatives throughout the year – Charity Fairs, the Christmas Tree Assembly, Spring Giving – with each House supporting their selected cause.

Throughout the year, there are regular inter-House competions, such as The Big Draw, Sports Day, House University Challenge and House Music, led by House Captains from the Student Leadership Team who organise their House team in the hopes of victory.

House points are won throughout the year, both through group activities and individual contributions, such as outstanding effort in lessons or positive contributions to the school. At the end of the academic year the House with the most points wins a group outing – bowling, the cinema or another similar activity. Let battle commence!
