Trips and Visits
As well as residential trips aimed at forging friendships (such as our annual ‘Under The Stars’ trips to Hindleap for Y7 and Purbeck for Y10) students are able to enhance learning in the classroom by participating in trips and visits linked to the curriculum. Whether that’s heading to measure coastal erosion for Geography in Dorset, a visit to the US Embassy, visiting different places of worship for Religious Studies or the Somme for History, opportunities abound.
Overseas residential trips often combine subjects, such as our recent Art and French trip to Paris and Classics and Music to Rome.
Other residential trips widen horizons further, giving the chance to get involved in ‘something bigger’ and representing physical challenge – hence our regular ski trips, Performance Sports trips at home and abroad, World Challenge to Morocco, to Costa Rica, or the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, offered at bronze, silver and gold level.
