Student Voice
Finding your voice
Student voice is central to Wimbledon High School life and no more than in our Sixth form. Stepping Up is all about giving our sixth formers opportunities to challenge themselves – whether that is finding your voice as a mentor volunteer with SHINE, our Serious Fun on Saturdays initiative for local children; helping in our local partnership programmes; being part of our student leadership team; writing for our student blog, Unconquered Peaks; or digging deep to find inner reserves of resilience when tackling the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award.
The Charter is a joint partnership between Wimbledon High School and King’s College School, Wimbledon to encourage meaningful collaboration between our two communities.
Now in its third year, the Charter Student Leadership Conference, facilitated by Wimbledon High this year, brought together 150 student delegates from 28 schools across Greater London for a day of shared conversation, reflection and learning.
Presenting your ideas
You will learn the art of presenting to an audience, such as at a TEDX evening, at our annual Speech Day, or on a more regular basis, during assemblies to your younger peers.
