What's On at WHS
Wimbledon High School has many community and school events throughout the year, including drama and music productions performed by students, parent community festivals and alumnae reunions.
We are delighted to be partnering with Wimbledon Bookfest again this autumn.
Wimbledon Bookfest runs from 16 – 26 October and we look forward to welcoming many to our school from across our wider community to enjoy the plethora of events, talks and workshops on offer.
We are also proud to announce that we are sponsoring Dame Harriet Walter’s talk on Sunday 19 October, where she discusses her book ‘She Speaks: Shakespeare’s Women’ and delves between the lines of the plays she knows so well to give these female characters an authentic voice.
WHS alumnae are also playing an integral part of the festival – as hosts, guest speakers and patrons – including Samira Ahmed, Michelle Paver, Afua Hirsch and Rachel Wang.
This November, Wimbledon International Music Festival brings world-class artists to SW19, including four standout concerts at Wimbledon High School from pianists Boris Giltburg and Pavel Kolesniov, the Sacconi Quartet & Anthony Friend and the Philharmonia Orchestra. Enjoy stunning recitals, shorter concerts, jazz, lively ‘Lates’ in pubs and wine shops, and imaginative family events. With standout names, a range of informal settings, and an ambitious education programme reaching thousands of children, there’s something for everyone – whether you’re after a night out, an inspiring afternoon break, or a magical musical moment with the kids.
