Excellent results for WHS in the Junior Maths Challenge

Recently, 179 students across Years 5 to 8 took part in the Junior Maths Challenge run by the UK Mathematics Trust.

Over 300,000 students take part nationally to tackle exciting problem-solving questions. This year, we are delighted that 20 girls were awarded a gold certificate, 51 silver and 47 bronze. Furthermore, 11 girls are through to the next round, the Kangaroo, on Tuesday 12th June. Special congratulations to Emily.R in particular, who is only in Year 6! The Challenge is aimed at students in Year 7 and Year 8 so Emily has done exceptionally well. The students through to the Kangaroo are:
