Our Year 13s, the Class of 2021, stride out...

Our Year 13s, the Class of 2021, enjoyed a Striding Out valedictory service and a special Garden Party in their honour this week, as part of the celebrations to mark the end of their time here as students, before they become Wimbledon High alumnae.

Each student's unique contribution to life at Wimbledon High was celebrated as their pastoral tutors, who know them so well, presented their characteristics and achievements. Head Fionnuala Kennedy said: "It felt appropriate and important to have a moment where we held each one, as the brilliant young woman she has become, in our minds, and applauded them."

That evening, the glamour factor ratcheted up for our celebratory garden party. Unable to host parents due to restrictions, the school hosted the bubble of Year 13s and their tutors in a large open-sided marquee. There was much laughter and reminiscing, and even a rap by outgoing Head Girl Jess L. The wonderful Class of 2021 will stride out from school for the last time at the end of Speech Day next week, to their exciting futures.
