The 7th #700STEM Challenge Awards Evening took place on Thursday 14 March at Sydenham High School; a wonderful evening celebrating the achievements the finalists made in researching and writing their STEM essays.
A panel of expert guest judges - Professor Helen Fielding, Professor of Chemistry at UCL; Cyprian Njamma, Executive Director at Goldman Sachs; and Zainab Olaide Olaniyan, Senior Consultant at Avanade - awarded prizes to students across different age categories who demonstrated exemplary research skills and presented articulate and engaging scientific writing.

U14 Science

1st place - Aanya S. 'What is a Robot?'
U18 Tech and Engineering
2nd place - Elspie M. 'To What Extent was the Titanic Unsinkable?'
U14 Mathematics
2nd place - Immy B. 'The Number Zero'
U16 Mathematics
2nd place- Vera R. 'The Maths behind Winning Wordle'
U18 Mathematics
1st place - Indi C. 'How the Fibonnacci Sequence has Paved the Way for Modern Beauty Standards'
The evening was truly a testament to the hard work of all participants and everyone should feel very proud of themselves. Well done!
