Year 9 visit Tate Modern

On Wednesday 25 September, Year 9 students travelled to Tate Modern to record and research a range of artists. 

Their themes this year are Cityscapes and Abstracted Figures, so our artists were looking for inspiration to help with these projects. Working from direct observation means it is possible to see the techniques used by the artists more clearly. For instance, the layering of paint or the scale of the piece. The work the girls produced was excellent and several adults commented on what a diligent group of students they were.
