WHS & Whitgift Partnership

Part of the rationale behind the Wimbledon Charter is to ensure that girls and boys are given the opportunity to see themselves as equals, creating spaces for interaction, fun, and shared scholastic endeavour.

As we continue our flourishing partnership with King’s College School, we are starting to explore other relationships with prominent single-sex schools in South London. Dayle Kirby, Deputy Head Pastoral, and Lucy Trott, Head of Theology & Philosophy, have been working with Wimbledon High on future partnerships. We started this week, when 14 Year 7 students travelled to Whitgift to train in our inaugural Tag Football mixed team. This will be the first of three training sessions before a mixed match against Christ Hospital School in June. As you can see, students from both schools had a great time, and really enjoyed working together as Mr Kirby coached them through the basics. We hope this will not only be the start of a wonderful sporting opportunity, but also the beginnings of future partnerships with the South Croydon school.
