On Thursday 24 November, we hosted our first ever WHS Orchestral concert in the Auditorium. With a sold-out audience of 250 guests, and 174 students taking part, it was a busy and highly energetic evening. The students performed brilliantly, with repertoire varying from Vivaldi to Swedish House Mafia. A special thanks to Mike Wilson and Clare Kennington, who led Swing Band and Baroque Ensemble, respectively - see photos below. Be sure to watch out for highlights from the evening which should follow soon. Well done to everyone involved!

Very excitingly, Estella MacL (Year 12) this week received a place in the London Schools Symphony Orchestra playing piccolo. This is an exceptional achievement, and gives her the chance to play with some of the finest young musicians from across the country. Many congratulations.

Also, on Monday evening we held our WHS Young Musician Wind & Brass Competition. The standard of the evening was simply stunning, with every student playing with a great sense of musicality, poise, and fun.
