Atherton Award Winner 2023

We are proud to announce that Cassia (Y8) has won this year’s Atherton Award.

Cassia is developing a clothing brand created entirely from fashion waste, with a focus on recycling denim clothing. Her goal is to create new items such as bags, belts and hats and demonstrate the benefits of sustainable fashion. She is looking to partner with existing manufacturers of denim clothing to source her fabrics.

The Atherton Award, founded by entrepreneur Amber Atherton, recognises girls who show entrepreneurial spirit. Winners receive a day of mentoring with Atherton’s team and a prize of £500 to further their idea.
