Sports Awards 2017

To mark the end of a fantastic year of sport at WHS, Seniors celebrated individual and group successes at Nursery Road during the Sports Awards Dinner on Tuesday 27th June.

Paralympic swimmer and Olympic Silver medallist, Kate Grey, gave an inspirational speech about her journey of determination and perseverance in the world of sport and how, even though she experienced failure and disappointment throughout her career, she found success within other areas which went on to change her life for the better.

Awards were then presented in their sporting categories with individual and group achievements for each year group as well as overall awards.

Congratulations to the winners and all nominees! And of course, a huge thank you to the PE department for arranging the event and their amazing support to the girls, all year round.
