5th in Surrey for our U13 Gym Squad

Last Thursday, the WHS U13 Gymnastics squad competed in the Surrey Schools Gymnastic Floor and Vault Competition.

The squad, made up of Mia and Amrita (Year 8), and Year 7 students Ella, Lilia, and Nicola came 5th out of 11 schools. This is the first floor and vault competition for some of the girls, and we are hoping to improve the result in the next competition. These students train every Wednesday, which involves line work to strengthen and perfect their skills. They also work on their floor routines and vault to get them ready for competition. The next competition will be on Saturday 4 February at Lady Eleanor Holles School for Floor and Vault, with the Gym and Dance Display following soon after that at the end of March.
