Friday 16th June marked an extraordinary occasion as the highly anticipated Create Innovate Investigate event took place in our magnificent new auditorium. The event, which featured remarkable works from talented GCSE and A level students across the Art and Design Technology & Engineering departments, proved to be an astounding success. The students' creations captivated the audience, serving as a testament to their incredible creative abilities.

The event's comprehensive display of artwork and design marvels provided an immersive experience for attendees. From intricately designed sculptures to cutting-edge technological innovations, the range of talent was awe-inspiring. The fusion of creativity and technical skill was evident in each project, showcasing the multidimensional abilities of our students. Throughout the event, it became clear that our students possess an inherent "create ability." This unique trait goes beyond traditional artistic talent; it encompasses an inventive mindset, a curiosity to explore new frontiers, and the courage to push boundaries. These young artists and designers exemplified the spirit of creative thinking, transforming abstract ideas into tangible masterpieces.

Undoubtedly, one of the most anticipated segments of the evening was the fashion show. The runway came alive with an array of stunning garments that blended fashion, technology, and innovation. From avant-garde designs crafted using unconventional materials to sustainable fashion initiatives, the show left the audience in awe of the limitless possibilities within the fashion industry. The creativity displayed on the runway was truly remarkable. Students pushed the boundaries of conventional fashion, incorporating elements of futuristic technology, intricate craftsmanship, and sustainable practices. Each garment was a testament to the student’s vision and their ability to turn their ideas into wearable art.

Create Innovate Investigate was not only a celebration of individual talent but also a testament to the power of collaboration. The event showcased the fruitful partnerships between the Art and Design Technology & Engineering departments, fostering an environment where students from different disciplines could exchange ideas, learn from one another, and create something extraordinary together. The resulting event was a harmonious blend of artistic expression and design ingenuity, truly embodying the essence of interdisciplinary collaboration. The success of Create Innovate Investigate extends beyond the event itself, serving as a catalyst for inspiring the next generation of creative minds. Students' accomplishments showcased at the event will undoubtedly motivate their peers to explore their own artistic and design capabilities. By nurturing and supporting young talent, we pave the way for a future generation of innovators and creators who will shape our world.

NB: We will share photos in the Autumn, once the public examination round is complete and we have permission to show student work publicly.
