Recently, a handful of Junior girls have had some impressive results in chess.
Congratulations to Year 6 girls Rhythm and Meilin, and Parisa in Year 3, who have all qualified for the National Chess Gigafinals on 23 and 24 July. Meilin came 2nd in her category. Rhythm and Parisa finished 3rd in their category - all at county level.
This is on top of the excellent news of several Year 6 girls being selected for county teams recently: Alice and Eleanor represented the Sussex team, Rhythm represented Surrey, and Meilin, Chloe and Poppy represented a London team in the National finals. Sussex won and Surrey came 2nd in that event!
Good luck to Eleanor and Alice whose Megafinal competition is coming up on Sunday.
