Junior School Diwali Celebration

Many families at our school celebrate Diwali. Diwali, often referred to as the festival of lights (or Deepavali in South India), is a time for religious rituals and sharing traditional stories. It's also an opportunity to spruce up homes, purchase new clothes, and, of course, enjoy parties, feasting, and exchanging gifts. 

On Monday 13, students that celebrate Diwali were invited to come to school dressed in their traditional attire and share their cultural heritage with their classmates. Each Junior School class also had the opportunity to take part in a Bollywood dance workshop conducted by an external visitor from the Education group. 

This was a lovely occasion and we were glad to celebrate it with our girls!
