Chess Success

Congratulations to pupils participating in recent chess competitions.

Aarya and Elizabeth in Year 4 were selected to represent Surrey Girls in the inter-county finals. Their dedication and talent took them to Oxford for the event on 25 March, with only 12 players in the team.

The team finished in 6th place. It is an U-11 event so they have more years in which to participate.

Meanwhile, Devnaa in Year 4 attended a Surrey event that attracted many players and won a rosette for her high score. We look forward to hearing of more chess successes in the future!
