On Monday, some fantastic workshops took place in the Junior school.

Abigail Foster from 'Elent' Financial Education visited and conducted workshops for each class in Year 2, 4, and 6 as part of the 'Money Matters' topic on the PSHE curriculum. Abigail engaged with the girls, delivering valuable lessons on financial education and encouraging them to discuss these topics with their parents at home.

If your daughter is in Year 2, 4, or 6, do ask them what they learnt, to continue the conversation. In Year 2, the workshop focused on helping the students understand the concept of finance, the value of common items, reasons behind price rises and inflation, and gaining awareness about global financial situations. For Year 4, the emphasis was on understanding finance and money management, grasping the value of money, exploring price rises and inflation, discussing the cost of living, and providing insights into the world of work and the meaning of 'working.' In Year 6, the workshop aimed to enhance their understanding of the value of money, inflation, the world of work, and taxes.

It was a brilliant and enlightening session enjoyed by all. Even the teachers found themselves learning new things!
