GDST Maths Conference

Six girls from Year 6 arrived at school bright and early on Wednesday 4th October to travel to the Andrew Wiles Building, part of the Mathematical Institute at the University of Oxford...

They joined 21 other GDST schools for a fun and interactive maths day. In the morning they worked in different teams using a Caesar Shift Wheel to crack codes and in the afternoon they worked in school teams on a tricky mathematical quiz. Overall the girls came fifth against some very tough opposition. The girls had a fantastic time, as did Miss Mitchell and Mrs Leaning who accompanied them.
