Junior Trips

Year 5 pupils embarked on an exhilarating journey to the Rhos y Gwaliau outdoor activity centre in Bala, Wales, and what an unforgettable experience it was!

The girls’ somewhat tired but beaming smiles upon their return spoke volumes about the incredible time we had.

One of the highlights of the trip was witnessing the remarkable responsibility and independence displayed by our young adventurers. They were true role models, impressing everyone with their maturity and organisation in the dorms. It was heart-warming to see how they took care of their belongings and supported one another throughout the stay.

The girls’ courage and resilience shone through as they tackled the thrilling activities offered at the centre. From the adrenaline-pumping canoeing sessions to the daring gorge walking adventures, they faced challenges head-on and pushed their boundaries. Their determination and unwavering spirits were truly commendable.

Orienteering tested their navigation skills, and they showcased their teamwork and problem-solving abilities while exploring the picturesque surroundings. The via ferrata experience took them to new heights, quite literally, as they navigated the challenging rock face with harnesses and ropes.

The trip to Wales wouldn't have been complete without a visit to a real slate mine. The children delved into the depths of history as they learned about the miners' lives and had an opportunity to experience a slice of the past first hand.

Our Year 5 girls did themselves proud, embracing every adventure with enthusiasm as well as demonstrating the values of teamwork and resilience. They returned home with cherished memories, newfound friendships, and a deep sense of accomplishment. Well done, Year 5!
