Tennis academy

As befits a school situated in the tennis heartlands of the UK, Wimbledon High School is keen to foster and nurture talent on the tennis court.

Together with expert coaches, we run a Tennis Academy all year round, training on the many courts at Nursery Road, our sportsground and original home to the All England Club. This is an optional addition, with sessions running at lunchtimes and at the weekends, to our curriculum tennis, which takes place in the summer term.

"Since joining Wimbledon High School last year, I have received a huge amount of support and opportunity from the tennis department to improve my performance as a tennis player and to develop my coaching skills as an assistant tennis coach."

Every year, we also train a number of students who are successfully selected as Wimbledon Ball Girls at the nearby Championships.
