In this role you will play a vital part in the general maintenance and upkeep of our buildings. Joining a friendly, dynamic, and supportive Estates team working in a fast-paced environment.
If you have good DIY/handyperson skills, this is a great opportunity to develop and enhance your skills and experience.
You will assist the Facilities Manager & Estates Manager in the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the school.
About you
You will have hands-on experience with general repairs (painting, carpentry, plumbing etc.) as well as being able to complete general manual handling tasks including lifting, moving, and carrying of deliveries, furniture, and other loads.
You will have an understanding of relevant Health and Safety legislation.
You will have knowledge of fire safety, security, and emergency procedures.
You will have a willingness to undertake relevant training, which will support your progress and development in the role and within the Estates team.

SENIOR SPORTS GROUNDSPERSON - ESTATES
Salary: £32,500 - £36,500 (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent

If you have experience in sports ground and general grounds maintenance skills this position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills.
As our Senior Sports Grounds Operative, you will play a key role ensuring an efficient site and facilities service at the sports ground and pavilion at Wimbledon High School; one of the leading schools in the UK.
We have impressive grounds for sport, including an all-weather and flood-lit surface used for Athletics, Cricket, and Hockey alongside our floodlit Netball/Tennis courts. You will ensure the security of the sports ground and pavilion. General tasks will include setting up, inspecting, and maintaining playing surfaces to the highest standard. Other duties will include chemical spraying, weed picking, aeriation, irrigations, devoting, sand spreading, hedge trimming, jet washing, salting, leaf blowing, gutter clearing, pitch testing and line marking.
About You:
You will have relevant skills and experience in the maintenance, inspection and line marking of sports pitches and grounds.
You will have hands-on experience with general repairs (painting, carpentry, plumbing etc.).
This is a manual role, and you must be able to complete general manual handling tasks including lifting, moving, and carrying.
You will also assist with the school’s sporting events, such as assembling and dismantling equipment as well as be responsible for the maintenance of all ground’s maintenance equipment.
You will also have experience of supervising staff, excellent organisational skills, and the willingness to learn new skills.
You will have previous experience of working with and managing external contractors. Alongside a good knowledge and understanding of reactive, routine, and planned maintenance.
You will have a good knowledge, understanding and experience of relevant Health and Safety legislation and requirements.
You will have a good knowledge and understanding of fire safety, security, and emergency procedures.
You will have relevant Health and Safety training, such as IOSH or a willingness to work towards this.
You will have a willingness to undertake any additional relevant training offered to develop and enhance your progression within your role and within the Estates team.

Wimbledon High School is seeking to appoint an inspirational Head of Rowing, to lead, coach and develop our thriving rowing programme.
The School is in its 7th year of high-performance junior level, introductory participation and recreational rowing. Our programme regularly wins national titles and competes on the highest stages, including the Schools’ Head of the River, National Schools’ Regatta, Henley Royal Regatta and Women’s Henley Regatta. As well as this, we have students aiming for junior international representation.
You will be required to plan and coach at all levels, playing a vital role in the delivery of our short, medium and long-term objectives. You will be responsible for creating a 5-year plan to achieve success at all local, domestic and national levels, working across an exceptional team of coaching staff to ensure that input, involvement and engagement is of the utmost importance across all squads.
You will exhibit a proven coaching record and will be capable of delivering high quality coaching to students of all abilities. Ideally, you will have performed or coached to a high standard and will possess a British Rowing Coaching Award Level 2/3. Additionally, you will demonstrate an ability to motivate both staff and students, utilising an outstanding set of communication and organisational skills to help drive our boat club forward to new levels of performance and participation.
