Junior Trips

Last week, Year 4 were lucky enough to spend 4 days outdoors enjoying the glorious sunshine on our Land and Wave residential adventure.

Our campsite overlooked the beautiful Corfe Castle and the girls enjoyed the freedom to frolic in the fields, visit the swings or relax with friends in their tents when they were not involved in activities. Not long after we had disembarked from the coach, we were whisked off to the woods to light fires and try our hand at archery.

The following day, half of the girls excitedly set off to catch the chain-link ferry from Studland Beach to Sandbanks where we spent a wonderful day in Poole harbour kayaking and playing games on the giant paddleboards. Meanwhile, the other half of the girls were treated to the delights of body-boarding, slip and slide and constructing giant catapults to slingshot balls with. That evening, we all hiked up a hill to enjoy a stunning evening sunset views of the magnificent Dorset coastline. After swapping activities, we ended the following day with some singing and toasting of marshmallows around the campfire.

On our final morning, we had great fun attempting to catch crabs in Swanage and the girls cheered heartily when they finally caught one (which they promptly set free again).

The camp leaders commented how wonderful our girls were in the way that they behaved, worked as a team and engaged with every activity which made their teachers extremely proud.
