Year 10 get a taster of Sixth Form life...

On Tuesday 22nd May, Year 10 spent the day experiencing Sixth Form life through an array of activities...

The day consisted of four lessons in the subjects that the Year 10 girls may be considering to study at A Level. This gave them the chance to see how they differ from those of their current GCSE subjects as well as finding out about the topics that they could study within them. The girls also had a chance to hear more about the optional EPQ in greater detail as well as the vast amount of enrichment and partnerships opportunities that they can take part in when in Sixth Form.

An inspirational Striding Out careers event hosted by two Women of the Future ambassadors took place after break. The forum enabled the girls to ask the ambassadors questions about their career paths which proved incredibly beneficial and thought provoking.

Concluding the jam packed day was the highly anticipated '6Fest'. We love a festival here at WHS and what better way to celebrate Sixth Form life than to hear live music, eat delicious festival inspired food and relax in the warm sunshine? This was a wonderful way for our Year 10s to mingle and experience how sixth formers enjoy some down time during their busy schedule...
