Senior Parents

As part of the 'WHS in the Community' programme, the girls in Years 11 and 12 regularly visit Blackham House, Kew House, Alexander House, Merton & Morden Guild and Wimbledon Guild.

On a weekly basis, students help out with the gardening, play games and chat to the residents and visitors.

This Thursday, to cement the cross-generational friendships that have been formed, WHS invited over 40 guests from these organisations into school to enjoy a festive afternoon tea, carol singing, music and bingo! Year 3 readers (who have been partnering with Senior girls to read to care home residents) joined the fun.

Hosts and guests really seemed to enjoy the experience. Thanks so much to everyone who came to join us and we look forward to another term's activities out in the community in the new year.
