And the winner of Battle of the Bands 2020 is...

It was great to welcome bands from Wimbledon College, JAGS, Hampton Boys, and two of our partner schools, Ricards and Rutlish, to join students from WHS in our biggest annual Battle of the Bands event yet.

The evening was organised by our student leaders in support of the charity Their Future today; a charity many of our girls have worked closely with. Their Future Today aims to end the institutionalisation and suffering of vulnerable children disadvantaged through poverty in Sri Lanka. Due to the hard work, enthusiasm and musicality of all students involved, we were able to raise nearly £1000 in support of their work!

Performances included tracks from the US and the UK, and even original student composed tracks! Congratulations to all bands who performed. The Hedgehogs from Ricards Lodge came third; our very own WHS band Odd Socks came second. And many congratulations to The Initiative from Hampton, meaning a boy band were winners of the 2020 Battle of the Bands. Now onto Battle of the Bands 2021…
